VehiclePromo has no accounts. The tools don't ask for your name, email address or any other personal details; you only give those if you choose to contact us. This page sets out exactly what the site records, why, and which cookies it uses.
What we record
Server logs
Each time you use Reference Remover, build a WhatsApp post or send a message through the contact form, the server writes a short log entry containing your IP address, the time and the outcome. For the tools, that includes the listing's reference number (for example how many photos were processed, or which details were missing), and, if something goes wrong, the listing link you submitted. These logs are used only to keep the site running and to fix problems.
Logs are kept in a file on our server that's capped in size: once it's full, the oldest entries are deleted automatically. The same entries also appear in the log viewer of our hosting provider (Railway), where they're kept according to that provider's retention settings.
Processed photos
When you use Reference Remover, the processed copies of the listing's photos are stored on our server under the listing's reference number. That way anyone who processes the same listing later gets them straight away instead of them being downloaded and processed again. These stored photos aren't linked to you. There's no fixed deletion schedule: they stay until the server's storage is reset, which happens whenever the service is restarted or redeployed.
WhatsApp posts
The text of the posts you build is shown to you and not kept. Only the log entry described above is recorded.
Contact form
If you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, subject, message, any files you attach and your IP address. The form emails all of this to our mailbox, [email protected], through our email provider; nothing from the form is stored on the website. We use it only to reply to you and to deal with what you've asked about, and we keep it in our mailbox only as long as that takes. Ask us at any time to delete your messages.
Fetching listings
When you paste a link, our server, not your browser, fetches the listing page and its photos from the listing site. The listing site sees a request from our server, not from you.
Cookies and similar technologies
- One short-lived cookie from VehiclePromo. It's used only to carry a one-time message from one page to the next (for example "Paste a listing link first"). It contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser.
- Your theme choice. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so it stays the same on every page. It never leaves your device.
- Your browser's own cache. Your browser keeps photos you've viewed for up to an hour so they don't have to be downloaded twice. They're stored on your device, not on our server.
- Google Fonts. The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google Fonts' privacy information.
- Google cookies. This site may use Google services that set cookies. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices. If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent any information.
- We don't create accounts or build profiles of visitors.
- The site isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what VehiclePromo records changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed.
